We welcomed Vanessa Walton to the Grey St Motors team in October 2015 after finishing her Pre-Trade Automotive course.
Vanessa grew up in Coromandel before moving to Hamilton to attend High School. She has always enjoyed tinkering and being around cars and motorbikes with her family. Vanessa has being riding trail bikes since she was 8 and still rides and owns her own bike.
Early in 2016 Vanessa took up the challenge of starting an Apprenticeship in Automotive Engineering.
Rodney Thorpe comes to us with almost 30 years of experience in the Automotive Industry, beginning as a qualified Panel Beater and then moving into mechanical repairs & servicing.
In 2002 he became an Authorised Vehicle Inspector, adding another aspect to his mechanical workmanship. His passion for all things automotive grew from tinkering around in the shed with his Dad, and his extended family building Hot Rods, trailers and working on many other projects.
Growing up in the Waikato, Rodney enjoyed water sports, hunting, fishing and motorbike trail riding with his family and friends. Rodney loves being outdoors as much as possible. He and his wife Debbie are strong Chief supporters and have attended many rugby matches as loyal fans over the years.
